“Philia Trio” is the story of a violin, an accordion and a cello that meet on the benches of the National Superior Conservatory of Paris. “Beethoven, Pärt, Vivaldi, Prokoviev mixing strings and an accordion is daring!” A prize of Honor and of the Public, at the international Léopold Bellan competition later: it’s adopted!
These three young multi-award-winning artists are anything but classical. Lisa Strauss, Théo Ould and Pierre Liscia-Beaurenaut agree their differences on all styles, from baroque to contemporary. Régis Campo and Tomás Gubitsch entrusted them with their creations, and movie director Romain Winkler joined his force with their talents.
Their musical friendship modernizes the repertoire, mixes genres and galvanizes, revealing a young generation of creatives. Their first album “Madness” supported by the Auvers-Sur-Oise festival, does not deceive: They have the Follia at their fingertips.
